I have always been completely and utterly obsessed with nicole richie. her style is the perfect mix of boho chic and vintage. Her jewerly line, house of harlow has amazing statement pieces that will make you rethink rocking just a plain bangle.
she's one of the few celebrities that actually wears her clothing line, and that just makes me respect her even more.

I'm going to be honest, because I'm tired of being subtle

Our entire life consists ultimately in accepting ourselves as we are. instead of trying to please everyone else i'm only out to please myself. i've stopped worrying so much about what others have to say, and instead focus all my attention on bettering my life, and strengthening my faith and my relationship with God and i've finally surrouding myself with people who have a good head on their shoulder and that i can call friends and ultimately i've never been happier.

No Rest For The Wicked

I've been going back and forth for months on whether I should leave for New York, or stay in Orange County and go to Long Beach. am I happy where i am? no. i'm content. i'm staying around for what's comfortable. New York on the other hand is 3,000 miles away from everything i know, yet everytime i go there i've never been happier. the people. the atmosphere. everything about it screams home to me. so what's it gonna be. stay where it will always be just fine. or pick up and move my entire life half way across the country. decisions. decisions.

Putting the past away. Today is a beginning

I don't know what it is, but every time around this year I get an anxious feeling that I need to do something with my life. I took time out, and isolated myself for a bit to do a purging of my life. physically, emotionally, and mentally. giving up on those relationships, that were just draining, always fegining that i was happy to see that other person, and trying to keep up a dying middle school friendship. it's mentally draining trying to keep up this facade of what others what me to be. this "purge" is what it took for me to wake up and realize that i don't need to hold on to lost causes, i can be who i want, wear what i want, and live me life for me.i'm more comfortable than ever with who i am, and what i am going to become. It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are

and I, I took the one less traveled

my life has been pulled in so many directions since the new year started. i've had some amazing opportunities to do the things i love, but of course those lingering feeling reside about leaving home. though i can't wait to be on my own, the reality of stepping out is harsh. so many of us take what we have for granted.
so it's time to step up. and grow up. and take the road that is less traveled.

The world of fashion has moved to the city of love. the final looks for fall 2010 are being previewed in the city that makes us come a live. Gold. Gold. Gold. was all that could be seen walking down the white stretches of the runway. goodbye to the painstakingly thing models, womanly curves were the "it" factor this year over see, from Mark Fast's show in London to Giles's show in the city we love. fashion week is here for only a short time but the impact it's makes is outstanding. do i like all the collections out there? no. some of them are just to bold. but that's exactly what fashion is, taking risk and experimenting. so even though i may personally no be in love with them, i like the creativity that went into it.

I am flawed, If I'm not free.

On my birth certificate it reads Emily anne. I have an old soul and view the world with an old heart and young willing eyes. I see beauty for what it is, with no barriers, borders, or boundries. my heart loves to a capacity that most do not understand. my mind is open, but I know what I believe. my religion doesn't define, my relationships do, the most important one being with jesus christ. I have a empathy towards the people God has placed in my life. I see the best in them and love them for who they are. I see great potential and beauty in all, and admire those who aren't afraid to step outside themselves and realize what is really important. live.learn.and move on. I admire perserverance and the company of those who will challange me to do what is right and say what is on my mind. nothing inspires me more than to see something under a new light. I believe that everything that i go through in life, puts me one step closer to becoming the person i'm meant to be. I'm 18 years young and living my life. doing what makes me happy. fashion is my outlet. it's what you'll know me for in the future.
